Dell has finally announced that they are going to introduce their first Latitude XT Tablet, which has a 12.1 inch convertible screen and It comes with Intel Core 2 Solo and Duo ULV processors, 120 GB hard drive with an option of swapping in a 64 GB SSD, an ATI Radeon X1250 UMA integrated graphics chipset and with extended batteries can reach up to 9.5 hrs of battery life.
The Latitude XT is also unique in the sense that it is the industry’s only sub-four-pound convertible tablet with pen and capacitive touch capability.
Capacitive technology senses the touch of a finger with no pressure required for the system to recognize input. It is also the forerunner to emerging multi-touch capabilities that allow the use of more than one finger for tasks such as zoom and repositioning a picture.
The Latitude XT is Energy Star 4.0-compliant and will be available in January 2008 for a price of $2,400 upwards.

it is expected that it will be easier for Dell to recover from the economic slowdown in China than other Asian market.
