Intel's New Platform For Nehalem..!
In the previous post we saw that the senior vice president and general manager of Intel's Digital Enterprise group Gelsinger also announced the first 32nm chip is slated to be a shrunken version of Nehalem which is an upcoming four-core chip and is Intel's next microarchitecture and it should arrive sometime before the end of the year and the are also going to launch a supportive motherboard code name “Smackdown” that will be fitted for fitted for Nehalem processors..!
Take a close look at the intel's Pre-production mother board code named as "Smackdown".
Not much information regarding this motherboard is available as Intel has not officially announced anything about it but in a first impression it seems to be a dual-core workstation with two native quad-cores running and 16 simultaneous threads. That would be a beautiful thing to see the processing power of graphics cards finally coming to system boards and processors...!

Dual GPU from Nvedia...!
I just visited Tech report and saw Nvidea's GeForce 9800 X2 and I could not stop myself from posting it here. This is the multi-GPU multiplication because it is a combination of a pair of G92 graphics processors onto one card for double G92 performance ...!
The idea of cramming a pair of GPUs into a single graphics card is nothing new as one of the most recent example is AMD's Radeon HD 3870 X2, which stole away Nvidia's single-card performance crown by harnessing a duo of mid-range Radeon GPUs, but currently G92 GPU is considered as faster than any single graphics processor AMD has to offer. So you can realize the performance when you of two of them ...!Dressed all in black, the GeForce 9800 GX2 looks like it means business. That's probably because it does. This beast packs two full-on G92 graphics processors, each running at 600MHz with a 1500MHz shader clock governing its 128 stream processors. Each GPU has its own 512MB pool of GDDR3 memory running at 1GHz (with a 2GHz effective data rate) on a 256-bit bus. For those of you in Rio Linda, that adds up to 1GB of total graphics memory and a whole lotta bandwidth. However, as in any SLI setup, memory isn't shared between the two GPUs, so the effective memory size of the graphics subsystem is 512MB.

Intel's X48 Express chipset to support 1600MHZ Front-Side Bus
Intel had already announced it's Core 2 Extreme QX9770 which is due out this quarter but there was no official mother board that had released from the company that could support a front-side bus speeds of 1600MHZ, The latest Existing Chipsets P35 and X38 Express could support front-side bus speeds of up to 1333MHz...
Consumer of QX9770 will definitely look for a supportive chipset which could support this latest faster FSB CPU and keeping this in mind intel is going to release their latest mother board which is X48 Express chipset.
This is based on their previous X38 Express chipset but it will support 1600MHz front-side bus speeds and with this faster bus, the X48 looks poised to supplant its predecessor atop Intel's chipset lineup, which means a new wave of motherboards is coming from all the usual suspects...
Apert from all this this newly design chipset is also comes with an innovative Dynamic Energy Saver mechanism designed to lower power consumption...
